So... In about a week "Slim" and I will have completed our first year together as husband and wife. It has been a whirlwind! Exciting, thrilling- a God-sent blessing to my life, but it has also been a foodie's challenge.
"Slim" is tall dark, handsome and slim because he is a picky foodie. He likes what he likes and has no palette for the exotic (i.e. sushi). He prefers good ole' fashioned American fare. I would climb a mountain for Costa Rican Gallo Ginto, a plain avocado with lime and salt, or Korean Kimchi. I am an international foodie. How is an adventurous eater like me cook for the both of us when our tastes are so different?
Trying to navigate in these marital cooking waters have left me making foods full of butter, salt, and sugar and as a result I've gained around 20 pounds! I'm on a journey to drop the pounds and master cooking for two healthy delicious meals that we both enjoy.
Cross your fingers for me.... better yet- Pray!
